How to arrange a home visit
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we appreciate this is not always possible.
If you do need a GP home visit, you can help us by calling reception between 08:00 – 10:00. If you are calling on the patients behalf, please leave a contact phone number along with your name and relationship to the patient as the doctor may need more details from you.
Please keep your address and phone numbers up to date at all times. Complete a Change contact details form.
Home Visit Guidance
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice.
Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
House calls are very time consuming and the doctor can see at least five patients in the surgery in the time it takes to make one house call.
Our District Nursing team attend to housebound patients with nursing needs or who need annual chronic disease reviews. They can be contacted directly on 01738643705.
There is a community phlebotomy service if you are housebound and need a blood test. Please discuss this with reception.
