Caledonian Road Medical Centre is now Perth City Medical Centre!
Drs Dunbar, Currie, Clare, Lee, Wilson, Davage and Crawford would like to announce the change of our practice name to Perth City Medical Centre.
The medical centre situated on Caledonian Road started in one of the doctors’ houses, pre NHS. The practice moved to Rose Terrace before renovating a Lowfreeze supermarket into a new GP practice. The new building was soon too small for the number of patients and the practice decided to build the current two storey, larger practice.
Why change the name?
The medical centre is known by many names including Caledonian Road Medical Centre, The Medical Centre and Dr Dunbar and Partners. Tayside Health Board has the practice listed as The Medical Centre so the practice felt it was time to have one individual name.
From the 1st February 2016 The Medical Centre or Caledonian Road Medical Centre will be called Perth City Medical Centre. As part of this change the practice has designed a new logo which represents the practice being in Perth for over 85 years.
What does this mean for patients?
Patients do not need to do anything as the practice will continue to provide care in the same way.
This is the new website where you will find lots of information about all aspects of the practice. The website will have the link to online appointments and repeat prescription requests for patients who use this service. The practice text messaging system will also not change. All the details on how to sign up for these services and much more will be on the website from 1st February.
